Overview
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee Overhead Line (OHL) and Underground Cabling projects within a major Distribution Network Operator (DNO) framework. This hybrid role involves managing project delivery across development and construction stages, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and contractors to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project delivery across DNO OHL, cabling, poles, towers, and underground networks.
- Lead and coordinate both development and construction phases.
- Oversee contractors, ensuring compliance with NEC contract requirements and project specifications.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, health and safety, and quality.
- Liaise with design, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Manage budgets, schedules, risk registers, and project documentation.
- Report regularly to senior management on progress and key deliverables.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing DNO / OHL / cabling or related power distribution projects.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts (preferred).
- Background in construction delivery and design coordination.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel to site as required (based around Bury St Edmunds).
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline preferred.
