In this role, the Project Manager will be instrumental in the mobilisation of a new business line for a prominent UK transport company. Working closely with various departments, including Finance, IT, HR, and Sales, the contractor will coordinate efforts across multiple stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the project. This position requires a proactive individual who can navigate complex environments and deliver clear guidance on project progress.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the mobilisation of a new business line.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across workstreams.
  • Liaise with external partners and stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Own the master mobilisation plan, tracking timelines, risks, and dependencies.
  • Set agendas and drive progress in project meetings.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to advance project actions.
  • Establish governance frameworks and coordinate key meetings.
  • Deliver weekly progress updates and manage risk registers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in project management or operations.
  • Experience in transport or strong B2C background such as retail or FMCG.
  • Combination of operational and/or consultancy experience.
  • Commercial awareness and familiarity with sales-driven environments.
  • Exposure to IT projects or technology-led initiatives is beneficial.
  • Exceptional organisation and stakeholder management skills are essential.
