The Project Manager role is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual in the rail and civil engineering sector, focused on delivering infrastructure projects across London and the Home Counties. Working closely with the Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget while developing strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning and programming of civil engineering works.
  • Control project costs and monitor commercial aspects.
  • Allocate resources and ensure effective project delivery.
  • Oversee client and stakeholder management activities.
  • Coordinate site activities and project reporting.
  • Attend client meetings and progress update sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and budget standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Project Manager in the civil engineering sector.
  • Experience delivering rail-related projects.
  • Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from planning to delivery.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and construction methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant IT systems.
  • Valid SMSTS certification.
  • Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Full UK driving license required.
