Overview

The Prudential Reporting Consultant will play a pivotal role in overseeing capital-focused regulatory reporting for a fast-growing financial services firm. This position, which operates remotely and is offered on an initial three-month contract, requires collaboration with teams in Finance, Treasury, and Risk while engaging with senior leadership to enhance reporting accuracy and governance. The consultant will focus on managing core regulatory submissions such as COREP and ICAAP, ensuring compliance with UK and EU capital regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive delivery of capital regulatory reporting, both internal and external.
  • Take ownership of COREP, ICAAP, Pillar 1/2/3, Large Exposures, and other capital return submissions.
  • Uphold strong control and governance frameworks throughout the reporting process.
  • Guarantee accurate, on-time regulatory submissions.
  • Scrutinise and challenge capital data inputs, assumptions, and outputs.
  • Interpret capital regulation changes and evaluate their downstream impact.
  • Contribute to process improvement, automation, and reporting for new products.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, and Risk to strengthen capital reporting frameworks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in regulatory reporting at a UK-regulated bank or financial institution.
  • Solid grounding in capital reporting (COREP, ICAAP, Pillar 1/2/3, Large Exposures, PRA capital framework).
  • Sound knowledge of UK/EU capital regulation and reporting standards.
  • Track record in controls, governance, and reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical ability and stakeholder management.
  • Comfortable working at pace in a delivery-focused environment.
