Overview
We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright and Cypress to ensure the quality of a large regulated UK organisation's platform. This role focuses on building and maintaining automated testing frameworks while collaborating with engineering teams to integrate quality checks throughout the development process. The successful candidate will play a critical role in preventing broken code from reaching production, ultimately enhancing the reliability of services used by thousands.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated test suites with Playwright and Cypress.
- Integrate tests into CI to validate quality with every code change.
- Collaborate with engineers to instill testing practices early in the development cycle.
- Establish and uphold quality benchmarks throughout the programme.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools to enhance test authoring and expand coverage.
- Conduct accessibility testing and adhere to regulations when applicable.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress.
- Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience executing automated tests within CI pipelines.
