QA Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join a dynamic PropTech company on a contract basis. This position offers a unique greenfield opportunity to establish and lead a quality assurance process for a PHP/Laravel web product in the landlord/rental sector. The successful candidate will have the freedom to shape the QA strategy and build an automation framework using Playwright, while also managing manual testing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing while developing an automated framework in Playwright.
• Own the overall QA strategy and ensure quality standards are met.
• Establish a new automation framework from scratch, without a pre-existing suite.
• Document processes and test cases thoroughly to facilitate knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Strong skills in manual testing and proactive bug-hunting beyond acceptance criteria.
• Ability to architect a new QA framework from the ground up.
• Experience in a similar role within the software development lifecycle.
