Overview
We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Inspector to contribute to a large-scale Solar PV construction project in Essex. The role involves working closely with the Project QA/QC Manager and Project Manager to ensure that all installations meet strict quality standards and specifications. This position offers an excellent opportunity for quality professionals with utility-scale solar experience to be part of a prominent renewable energy project.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine site inspections across all phases of construction.
- Monitor and verify quality of installation activities including ramming, foundations, structures, and module mounting systems.
- Ensure workmanship complies with project specifications and quality standards.
- Verify installation activities against manufacturer's manuals and approved procedures.
- Identify non-conformances and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.
- Support the compilation of technical documentation and quality records.
- Maintain accurate and complete inspection records, quality checklists, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Proactively identify and escalate quality issues and participate in root cause investigations.
Requirements
- Proven QA/QC experience on large-scale Solar PV construction projects (minimum 70MW capacity).
- Relevant HNC / HND qualifications.
- Strong understanding of civil, mechanical, and electrical construction quality requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and installation manuals.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with a methodical approach to record management and material traceability.
- Full availability for the duration of the contract.
- Valid UK site access certifications (CSCS or equivalent).
