Overview
The Quality Assurance Lead will take ownership of quality assurance across a growing engineering function in a hybrid or remote capacity. In this hands-on leadership role, you will define and implement testing standards and strategies, collaborate closely with development teams, and mentor junior testers while ensuring high software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance activities across multiple products and projects.
- Define and implement QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Develop and execute manual and automated test strategies.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Delivery teams to ensure quality is embedded from the outset.
- Perform hands-on testing across web applications, APIs, and integrated systems.
- Manage defect triage, root cause analysis, and release sign-off activities.
- Champion continuous improvement across testing processes and tooling.
- Mentor and support QA team members, helping to raise quality standards across the organisation.
Requirements
- Significant experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
- Previous experience in a QA Lead, Test Lead, or Senior QA position.
- Strong understanding of Agile software delivery practices.
- Experience creating test plans, test strategies, and quality frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Strong API testing experience using tools such as Postman.
- Excellent defect management and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams throughout the SDLC.
