Overview
The Release and Environments Manager will oversee the management of release processes and environments within a digital transformation programme. This role focuses on ensuring that the right code is deployed to the right environment at the appropriate time while managing competing priorities from various delivery teams. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with technical and programme stakeholders to facilitate smooth delivery and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities
- Own the release and environment management process across the programme.
- Coordinate releases between development, testing, infrastructure, and business teams.
- Manage environment availability, dependencies, and release schedules.
- Identify delivery risks before they become programme issues.
- Work closely with technical and programme stakeholders to ensure delivery remains on track.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Release & Environments Manager or in a similar release management role on large transformation programmes.
- Solid understanding of release management, environment planning, and deployment processes.
- Organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to challenge timelines, dependencies, or release plans when necessary.
- Experience working within complex technology delivery environments.
