Overview
The Senior Ruby Developer will join a rapidly growing fintech scale-up on a contract basis, playing a key role in developing scalable backend systems and enhancing performance. Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and engineers, the contractor will contribute to architectural decisions and deliver high-quality features that meet user needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust APIs and backend services in Ruby (Rails).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features.
- Optimise performance and scalability of systems.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Ruby/Rails experience.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, and AWS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Available to start within the next 2 weeks.
