Overview

The Salesforce Data Business Analyst will play a critical role in a major business transformation programme focused on Salesforce data migration and integration. Working collaboratively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party partners, the contractor will ensure the successful migration of high-quality data into Salesforce. This position requires a blend of strong business analysis skills and hands-on experience with Salesforce data, acting as a liaison between business needs and technical execution.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document business, functional and data requirements.
  • Produce Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, user stories and process maps.
  • Perform detailed data mapping between legacy platforms and Salesforce.
  • Support Salesforce data migration activities, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Analyse Salesforce data models, including standard and custom objects, relationships and record types.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions across business and technology teams.
  • Identify risks, dependencies and opportunities for process improvement throughout the programme.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Data Business Analyst with a focus on data migration projects.
  • Previous London Market insurance experience is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model, including standard and custom objects, relationships, and record types.
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Loader or equivalent bulk data loading tools.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying, profiling, and reconciling relational data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
