Overview
The Salesforce Test Lead will oversee the end-to-end test process management for a significant Salesforce implementation as part of a digital transformation initiative. This position is crucial for ensuring quality throughout the delivery lifecycle, requiring both strategic leadership and hands-on guidance. The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive testing governance and excellence, maintaining quality standards across various testing phases.
Responsibilities
- Establish testing governance, standards, controls, and quality metrics for consistent delivery excellence.
- Define test objectives, scope, environments, tooling requirements, and risk management approaches.
- Lead and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and Deployment Validation.
- Manage defect prioritisation, triage, reporting, and resolution governance.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, programme leadership, technical teams, and third-party partners.
- Provide executive-level reporting on testing progress, risks, and release readiness.
- Promote a quality-first culture and champion testing best practices throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Remain hands-on to support critical testing activities as needed.
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading testing and quality assurance for large-scale Salesforce implementations.
- Proven ability to establish testing operating models and reporting frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end testing within complex transformation programmes.
- Strong knowledge of UAT planning and execution with stakeholder engagement.
- Experience managing testing across integrated environments in Salesforce ecosystems.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior leadership.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery in dynamic settings.
- Familiarity with Salesforce products, such as Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, is highly desirable.
