Overview
We are looking for a skilled SAP Data Migration Lead to be a key player in a significant SAP S/4HANA transformation program for a major retailer. The successful candidate will oversee all data migration, testing, quality assurance, and release management activities, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, with a target go-live date set for November 2027.
Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the overall data migration strategy for SAP ECC decommissioning and S/4HANA implementation.
- Accelerate data readiness and quality through modern data migration tools, automation, and best-practice governance.
- Develop and own the end-to-end test strategy across SIT, UAT, regression, performance, and cutover testing.
- Drive test automation and AI adoption to improve testing efficiency and quality.
- Lead QA activities across build, test, and deployment phases.
- Manage release planning, deployment governance, and cutover readiness.
- Build and establish a sustainable testing and quality capability across the programme.
- Work closely with business, technology, and delivery partners to ensure successful programme outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA migration programmes.
- Strong SAP data migration leadership experience.
- Extensive Test Management and Release Management expertise within SAP transformations.
- Retail sector experience is essential.
- Experience implementing test automation and AI-enabled testing solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Experience delivering large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
- Familiarity with SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, Syniti, Informatica, or similar tools.
