The SAP Payroll Project Manager will lead the initiation phase of a significant payroll transformation project, focusing on migrating from SAP ECC6 Payroll to SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP). This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders across HR, IT, and Payroll, and requires deep functional payroll expertise and project governance capabilities in a complex, multi-supplier environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the initiation and mobilisation of the payroll transformation project.
  • Conduct discovery, scoping, and readiness assessments for the migration.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, and governance structures.
  • Engage stakeholders across HR, IT, Payroll, and implementation partners.
  • Oversee design decisions ensuring they align with payroll best practices.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to adhere to governance and quality standards.
  • Support data readiness activities, including data extraction and migration planning.
  • Provide expert input into cutover planning and testing strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in SAP Payroll transformation projects, specifically ECC6 to ECP.
  • Hands-on expertise with SAP ECC6 Payroll and SAP ECP.
  • Strong understanding of payroll schemas, rules, and end-to-end payroll processes.
  • Experience working in a multi-supplier delivery environment with governance structures.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced programme environments with rigorous controls.
  • Experience with large-scale HR or ERP transformation programmes is desirable.
  • Knowledge of SuccessFactors Employee Central and certification in SAP Payroll or SuccessFactors is advantageous.
