Overview
We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer specialized in computer vision to collaborate on developing advanced systems in the defence sector. This hybrid role will involve transitioning models from experimental stages to robust, production-ready applications, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of real-time visual data processing in critical environments. The engineer will engage with a variety of technologies, including object detection and SLAM algorithms, while optimizing performance for edge devices.
Responsibilities
- Design, train, and deploy deep learning models for object detection, segmentation, and tracking.
- Implement and optimize SLAM algorithms for real-time mapping and localization.
- Optimize computer vision pipelines to enhance performance on edge devices.
- Wrap research-grade models into scalable and maintainable production code.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python with deep familiarity in PyTorch.
- Hands-on experience with building computer vision models and SLAM frameworks.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and production-grade coding practices.
- Active UK SC clearance and British citizenship are mandatory.
