Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join a dynamic agile team responsible for a significant government platform upgrade in London. This role blends hands-on expertise in Google Cloud with strong leadership abilities to guide the team through complex integrations. The contractor will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that user needs are met, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the product development process.
Responsibilities
- Define and support the product vision for the squad and area of responsibility.
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with programme priorities.
- Lead requirements workshops and translate business needs into user stories and specifications.
- Break down outcomes into clear, deliverable tasks for engineering teams.
- Act as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback to align solutions with user needs.
- Support sprint planning and backlog refinement, prioritising work based on value.
- Drive continuous improvement by adapting the backlog based on feedback and delivery changes.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, and programme teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering cloud-native solutions within Google Cloud environments.
- Strong people management skills, with a proven record of guiding technical squads.
- Experience navigating complex, regulated UK Government or secure environments.
- Deep experience with backlog ownership and user story writing.
- Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks.
- Active SC Clearance; willingness to undergo DV Clearance is preferred.
