Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join a client-facing team on a 6-month contract, working primarily in Agile delivery environments. The role requires the individual to be present on-site 2-3 days a week in Bath, facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing delivery workflows with a strong emphasis on compliance frameworks. The Scrum Master will collaborate closely with Product Owners and various teams to ensure Agile practices are effectively implemented and maintained within the project.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Act as a servant leader for Agile teams by removing impediments and enabling delivery.
- Manage and optimize delivery workflows using Jira Software.
- Work closely with Product Owners to maintain a well-groomed backlog.
- Support delivery within client environments by adhering to governance frameworks and managing dependencies.
- Track and report delivery metrics including velocity and burn-down rates.
- Coach teams and stakeholders in Agile best practices while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Facilitate collaboration across engineering, architecture, and security teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira Software, including workflows and reporting.
- Experience working within UK government projects.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
- Ability to manage delivery in high-compliance environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Candidates holding or having held high-level security clearance are preferred.
