Overview
The SCADA Engineer will focus on utility-scale infrastructure projects, including battery energy storage systems, substations, and renewable energy systems. This role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure effective commissioning and integration of SCADA and control systems, leveraging a deep understanding of related technologies and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement SCADA systems for utility-scale projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders during system design and integration.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
- Conduct testing and fault-finding activities to ensure system functionality.
- Provide commissioning support and develop QA documentation.
- Utilize industrial networking standards to optimize communication between devices.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards in high-voltage environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in SCADA systems and control engineering.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, RTUs, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850).
- Experience with utility-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in renewable energy.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and system layouts.
- Familiarity with commissioning, fault-finding, and QA processes in critical infrastructure.
- Eligible for Outside IR35 contract arrangements.
