Overview
We are looking for a hands-on SDR Application Engineer to join our short-term contract project focused on developing an SDR-based sensing testbed. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our AI/ML team and will be involved in bench-top experimentation and rapid prototyping of RF technologies. This role offers flexible hours for a duration of two months, catering to engineers who are passionate about RF systems and signal processing.
Responsibilities
- Configure and test PlutoSDR and HackRF One platforms for RF resonator interrogation.
- Develop Python and GNU Radio pipelines for data capture and preprocessing.
- Collaborate with the AI/ML team to link SDR data to TinyML/XGBoost models.
- Run hands-on lab experiments and validate results.
- Deliver an end-to-end demo integrating SDR acquisition with ML analytics.
Requirements
- Proven experience with SDR platforms (PlutoSDR, HackRF One, RTL-SDR, etc.).
- Strong skills in GNU Radio and Python (SoapySDR, PySDR, NumPy, SciPy).
- Understanding of RF systems, signal processing, and test setups.
- Curiosity and independence in building and debugging hardware demos.
- Bonus: Experience in RF sensing, IoT, or wireless prototyping.
