Overview
We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to join a major Defence programme specializing in high-assurance environments delivering critical capabilities. The role requires active DV Clearance and involvement in complex, security-sensitive systems while collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure robust security architecture. This is a long-term opportunity that offers a chance to contribute to advancements in UK Defence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security architecture strategies within the defence programme.
- Produce and maintain security architecture artefacts and documentation.
- Engage with technical teams and stakeholders to promote secure design principles.
- Assess and mitigate security risks in accordance with best practices.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align security initiatives with programme objectives.
- Oversee security assessments and the accreditation processes for systems.
Requirements
- Active UK DV Clearance is required.
- Proven experience in Security Architecture within MOD or Defence environments.
- Strong knowledge of Secure by Design principles and risk-based approaches.
- Experience in producing security architecture documentation and artefacts.
- Familiarity with secure systems engineering and regulated environments.
- Desirable experience in Enterprise or solution architecture for large Defence programmes.
- Knowledge of secure cloud environments and modern infrastructure patterns.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF or equivalent.
