Overview
We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a dynamic delivery squad focused on addressing client challenges through innovative AI projects. This fully remote contract role, suitable for UK candidates, emphasizes rapid development cycles aimed at producing pilot solutions that deliver real value. You will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team while interacting directly with clients to shape technical outcomes and provide clear explanations of your decisions.
Responsibilities
- Experiment with proofs of concept to develop solutions for real-world problems using Large Language Models.
- Collaborate on AI-driven projects, ensuring the documentation is clear and comprehensive.
- Build agentic solutions using LangGraph/ADK and maintain familiarity with multi-agent system patterns.
- Design and deploy LLM-based solutions utilizing retrieval-augmented generation technology.
- Optimize APIs with Python and FastAPI to effectively serve AI-driven solutions.
- Build and enhance data pipelines for vector search and knowledge retrieval incorporated with vector databases and embedding models.
- Utilize cloud platforms, specifically GCP ecosystem and Cloud Run, to deliver scalable solutions.
- Implement and manage relational and vector databases for effective data storage and retrieval.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in building production Large Language Models used by clients.
- Strong software engineering background with proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of its standard library.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code to accelerate development.
- Proven ability to deliver functional outputs within a rapid development timeframe (4 weeks).
- Experience working with vector databases for embedding and indexing tasks.
- Significant knowledge of API design, specifically using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
- Solid experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Interest in expanding expertise in Generative AI and machine learning concepts.
