Overview
The Senior Analytics Engineer will play a pivotal role in scaling the analytics platform of an innovative HealthTech company. This hands-on position involves designing and developing data models while collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality analytics solutions. The contractor will contribute to the end-to-end process of data discovery and delivery, ensuring best practices in analytics engineering are followed.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable domain models.
- Build and optimise incremental dbt models in Snowflake.
- Own work end-to-end, from discovery through to delivery.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritise work.
- Drive analytics engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
- Deliver reliable, scalable data models that support business growth.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Snowflake and dbt is essential.
- Experience building and maintaining incremental dbt models.
- Strong data modelling and SQL skills.
- Experience working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of analytics engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
- Previous experience in HealthTech or other regulated industries is desirable.
- Experience in fast-paced product or scale-up environments is beneficial.
