Overview
The Senior Analytics Engineer will be pivotal in driving a comprehensive data and analytics transformation, focusing on the implementation of a modern, AI-driven analytics platform utilizing ThoughtSpot and Snowflake. In this hands-on role, the contractor will collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to establish trusted semantic models and facilitate the migration of existing reporting systems, ultimately enhancing data accessibility and usability across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable semantic models using ThoughtSpot and Snowflake.
- Develop and optimize Snowflake data models for reporting and AI applications.
- Translate Power BI reports, DAX, and business logic into the new analytics platform.
- Create high-quality ThoughtSpot Liveboards, visualizations, and self-service analytics.
- Enrich data models with business definitions, context, and metadata for AI insights.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to convert complex requirements into scalable solutions.
- Establish modeling standards, governance, and best practices for analytics.
- Support the rollout and adoption of ThoughtSpot throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience with ThoughtSpot and Snowflake.
- Strong skills in SQL and DAX.
- Experience with ETL and transformation tools, preferably Matillion.
- Solid understanding of semantic, dimensional, and analytical data modeling.
- Experience creating dashboards and self-service reporting solutions.
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience creating AI-ready semantic layers and migrating from Power BI is preferred.
- Background in retail or multi-site organizations is advantageous.
