Overview
The Senior Architect will spearhead the design and delivery of BMC Helix ITSM solutions for a prominent client engagement. This contractor will work closely with various stakeholders to transition from BMC Remedy to BMC Helix, while mentoring ITSM administrators and ensuring platform capabilities align with ITIL v4 processes. The role mandates active SC Clearance and involves a hybrid working model, requiring two days per week at the client site.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver end-to-end BMC Helix ITSM solutions.
- Lead migration from BMC Remedy to BMC Helix SaaS environments.
- Design and build integrations with third-party platforms via REST/SOAP APIs.
- Configure and maintain BMC Helix Discovery for CMDB population.
- Implement SLAs/OLAs, automation rules, and approval workflows.
- Act as Level 3 escalation point and monitor platform health.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align platform capabilities with business strategy.
- Mentor ITSM administrators and produce technical documentation.
Requirements
- 8+ years' hands-on experience with BMC Remedy / BMC Helix ITSM.
- Deep expertise in Helix ITSM modules: Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Asset.
- Proficiency in AR System workflow and Smart IT configuration.
- Strong REST/SOAP API integration skills; experience with BMC Helix iPaaS.
- Scripting ability in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with BMC Helix Discovery and CMDB data modelling.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certified; Managing Professional or Strategic Leader preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for leading technical workstreams.
