Overview
We are seeking an experienced 132kV Senior Authorised Person for a long-term contract role, supporting significant network reinforcement and asset replacement projects across various UK sites. The contractor will be responsible for high voltage switching operations, managing safety documents, and acting as the on-site HV safety lead while collaborating with contractors and project delivery teams. This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential infrastructure developments within the energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Carry out HV switching operations up to 132kV.
- Issue and cancel safety documents.
- Support commissioning, testing, and energisation activities.
- Manage network outages and access arrangements.
- Coordinate contractors, ICPs, and project delivery teams.
- Act as the on-site HV safety lead.
- Conduct work on substation construction and upgrades, including transformer replacements and grid reinforcements.
Requirements
- Hold current or recent 132kV SAP authorisation with a UK DNO.
- Possess sanctions for test and extensive switching experience.
- Demonstrate operational experience in commissioning and energisation (desirable).
- Have a full UK driving license.
