Overview
We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with expertise in migration to join our team for a significant AWS Lakehouse migration project. The contractor will engage in optimizing and securing AWS infrastructure, collaborating closely with architects and data engineers, while ensuring compliance within regulated environments. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence three days a week, focused on supporting a key client in the gambling and sports betting sector.
Responsibilities
- Assess and remediate existing AWS infrastructure configurations.
- Ensure the AWS environment is secure, scalable, and cost-optimized.
- Own the configuration of networking, IAM, and AWS-native services.
- Act as the primary contact for AWS co-funding and MAP programme engagements.
- Collaborate with Architects and Data Engineers to align on infrastructure needs.
- Facilitate the successful implementation of migration tools and strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience with AWS infrastructure services including VPC, IAM, S3, EC2, and EKS.
- Familiarity with migration tooling and cloud cost optimization techniques.
- Understanding of security and compliance standards in regulated environments, particularly in iGaming or Financial Services.
- Experience with the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP).
- Strong skills in platform-focused cloud solutions.
