Overview
We are looking for a skilled Senior AWS Engineer to join our Professional Services delivery team for a 6-month contract focused on supporting a significant AWS migration and separation program. The successful candidate will work closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and customer technical stakeholders to build and deploy AWS infrastructure and application services, ensuring the smooth transition from a hybrid estate to a new AWS organization.
Responsibilities
- Support the build and migration activities to establish a new AWS environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AWS infrastructure solutions.
- Implement landing zone and networking build activities within AWS.
- Manage server migration and application platform deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Participate in live migration cutovers in production environments.
- Assist in the execution of planned out-of-hours migration operations.
- Utilize AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) or similar tools for migration processes.
- Provision AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in delivering AWS infrastructure solutions within a consultancy environment.
- Proven hands-on experience with enterprise AWS migration projects.
- Knowledge of AWS landing zones and multi-account environments.
- Familiarity with networking solutions across hybrid AWS environments.
- Experience with AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) or similar tools.
- Capability to work collaboratively in architect-led delivery teams.
- Strong attention to detail in executing build and migration activities.
- Willingness to participate in structured migration activities outside normal working hours.
