Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Engineer for a fully remote, six-month contract role within our Professional Services delivery team. The successful candidate will be involved in a major AWS migration and separation programme, collaborating closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and customer stakeholders to deliver AWS infrastructure and application services.
Responsibilities
- Support the build and migration activities for separating existing applications and infrastructure into a new AWS environment.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to implement AWS landing zones and networking solutions.
- Participate in live migration cutovers and structured migration waves.
- Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) techniques to provision AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Engage directly with external customers to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience delivering AWS infrastructure solutions in a Professional Services or consultancy environment.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise AWS migrations, including practical work in live production settings.
- Experience with AWS landing zones, multi-account environments, and networking solutions across hybrid setups.
- Proficiency in AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) or similar migration tooling.
- Strong familiarity with Infrastructure as Code methodologies, specifically CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Ability to work closely in architect-led delivery teams on fixed-scope projects.
