Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing scalable REST APIs using C# and .NET technologies for a 3-month contract. Working primarily in a remote setting, you may occasionally collaborate with team members in person. This position focuses on integrating payment systems and enhancing backend processes to ensure high performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable REST APIs using C# and .NET technologies.
- Implement payment flows and integration with platforms like Adyen, Stripe, or Worldpay.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design API contracts and domain models.
- Optimize database queries and handle transactions effectively.
- Ensure high-quality software delivery by adhering to best practices in architecture and design.
- Utilize Azure cloud services for application deployment and management.
- Manage dependency injection, middleware, and error handling frameworks.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with C# and .NET technologies.
- Strong expertise in ASP.NET Web API development.
- Familiarity with SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including schema evolution and migrations.
- Experience with cloud services, preferably Azure and its various components.
- Knowledge of designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- Understanding of payment processing solutions and relevant integrations.
- Experience with event-driven patterns and API error frameworks.
- Familiarity with PCI-DSS considerations is a plus.
