Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in TypeScript and Node.js to join our remote team within the UK. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions that enhance our embedded investment platform. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, contributing to innovative projects that aim to drive meaningful change in the investment industry.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement reliable and scalable backend solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional squads including developers and product teams.
- Provide hands-on support for the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and promote best practices for software development processes.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation for software specifications.
- Implement quality control measures and unit testing for robust code.
- Engage in continuous integration practices within an Agile Scrum environment.
- Work on enhancing the customer and operations experience through technical solutions.
Requirements
- Proficient in backend development using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, specifically Lambda, SQS, and SNS.
- Knowledge of Serverless architecture and event-driven design patterns.
- Strong understanding of full stack development (Next.js, React, .NET is a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to implement testing frameworks and quality controls.
- Familiarity with MongoDB and continuous integration practices.
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical solutions effectively.
