Overview
In this role as a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be tasked with developing and enhancing backend systems for a rapidly growing business. Collaborating closely with the engineering team, your focus will be on implementing robust solutions that align with the company's project goals, particularly within an innovative environment following substantial funding. You will be required to work on-site two days a week, providing flexibility in your schedule.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend components and services using Python and Django.
- Create and maintain REST APIs to support frontend functionalities.
- Implement and optimize SQL databases for performance and reliability.
- Utilize Git for version control and collaboration with the engineering team.
- Apply software design principles to build scalable and maintainable systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in backend development with Python and Django.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL databases.
- Expertise in software design principles and best practices.
- Proficient in building and consuming REST APIs.
- Experienced with Git for version control and collaborative development.
- Deep understanding of a key component of the technology stack used in backend systems.
- Ability to start within two weeks of offer acceptance.
