Overview
The Senior BI Developer will play a pivotal role in a SAP BusinessObjects environment, focusing on the delivery of key reporting and data needs across the organization. This hands-on position involves end-to-end development in reporting, semantic layer design, and data warehousing while collaborating closely with stakeholders to enhance and maintain BusinessObjects reports and ensure reliable delivery of business-critical management information.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain BI reports using SAP BusinessObjects, including Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports.
- Design and manage Universes to support the reporting needs of the organization.
- Utilize strong SQL skills to query and manipulate complex datasets.
- Support data warehousing activities including data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver comprehensive BI solutions.
- Ensure reliable and accurate delivery of management information to the business.
- Assist in the implementation of SAP Data Services or similar ETL tools as needed.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BO) report building, specifically Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports.
- Proven ability in designing and maintaining Universes for reporting purposes.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in working with complex datasets.
- Familiarity with SAP Data Services (BODS) or similar ETL/data warehousing tools.
- Previous experience in data warehousing and ETL processes, including data modeling and integration.
- Ability to manage the full BI lifecycle from requirements gathering to final delivery.
- Desirable: Experience within NHS or healthcare environments and knowledge of TrakCare data.
