Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale Finance Transformation Programme within the FMCG sector. This role involves close collaboration with Finance, Operations, Technology, and programme stakeholders to analyse current processes, define future operating models, and implement enhancements that improve efficiency and data quality. The successful contractor will play a key role in documenting finance processes and identifying opportunities for optimization while working in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the discovery, analysis, and documentation of current-state finance processes and operational workflows.
  • Map end-to-end finance processes, workstreams, dependencies, controls, and data flows across functions.
  • Facilitate workshops with Finance SMEs and stakeholders to gather requirements and validate process designs.
  • Develop detailed process maps, operating models, business requirements, user stories, and gap analyses.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, risks, control weaknesses, and opportunities for standardisation and automation.
  • Define future-state processes aligned with finance transformation objectives and best practices.
  • Support the design and implementation of finance operating model changes including improvements across organisational and technological aspects.
  • Assist with testing activities, including UAT planning, test case development, and defect management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst focusing on Finance Transformation or ERP implementation.
  • Strong understanding of key finance processes such as Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash.
  • Experience with business process modelling tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
  • Demonstrable skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience in conducting gap analyses and designing target operating models.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and interact with senior finance stakeholders effectively.
  • Familiarity with ERP, EPM, or finance system implementations is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of project delivery methodologies like Agile or Waterfall.
