Overview
The Senior Cloud Engineer will engage in hands-on cloud engineering within a high-profile Defence programme, focusing on the delivery of complex cloud environments. Collaborating with a secure engineering team, the contractor will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing Kubernetes and Terraform-based infrastructure for classified systems. This role emphasizes engineering tasks over architectural design and necessitates a strong focus on compliance and platform reliability within secure environments.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure for Defence systems.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies using Terraform in diverse environments.
- Conduct cloud-native testing and verification to ensure platform reliability.
- Optimize deployment processes for Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Contribute to the compliance and secure delivery of cloud platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within high-assurance environments.
Requirements
- Active or recently lapsed DV Clearance (within the last 12 months).
- Proven experience with Kubernetes engineering, including build and troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of Terraform, preferably with Terraform Cloud.
- Experience in cloud platform testing and validation in secure settings.
- Familiarity with modern cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
- Demonstrated ability to work within high-security environments.
