Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant specialized in GCP Data Engineering to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data modeling and analytics to help clients across various industries make data-driven decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop robust data solutions that enhance accessibility and usability of data for reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models using dbt within Google Cloud Platform.
- Translate business requirements into well-documented dbt models.
- Develop and manage workflows in Google Cloud Platform, primarily using BigQuery.
- Write optimized SQL for data transformation and analysis.
- Maintain and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure efficient operations.
- Implement data quality testing and maintain documentation standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data models meet business needs.
- Stay updated on cloud technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Expert proficiency in SQL and experience with dbt for data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and modelling techniques.
- Proficient in version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows for analytics.
- Experience translating stakeholder requirements into technical specifications.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Certification in dbt or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Experience in mobile/telecoms industry is beneficial.
