Overview
The Senior Data Engineer will join a digital transformation consultancy to support an AWS Lakehouse migration project for a client in the gambling and sports betting sector. This role involves significant collaboration with the client's engineering team and focuses on optimizing data pipelines and addressing technical debt to ensure a stable, production-ready platform. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence three days a week, and is scheduled to start in July 2026.
Responsibilities
- Build and fix data pipelines to ensure system reliability.
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines on the AWS stack.
- Identify and resolve existing technical debt during the migration process.
- Collaborate with the client's engineering team for knowledge transfer.
- Contribute to stabilizing the platform and meeting delivery milestones.
- Support the Architect in defining and implementing the target state of the architecture.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with the AWS data platform stack, including S3, Glue, Lake Formation, and Redshift.
- Familiarity with lakehouse patterns and architecture.
- Experience in regulated or high-volume data environments.
- Previous experience in the betting and iGaming industry is highly desirable.
