Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a contract role focused on enhancing a data platform for a private equity-backed SaaS company. The contractor will collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and scale modern data products that facilitate reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work fully remotely while contributing significantly to a data-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale modern data products that support reporting and self-service analytics.
- Develop scalable ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
- Work directly with business stakeholders to understand their data needs.
- Own data solutions from data source to reporting and analytics consumption.
- Utilize Airflow and/or Fivetran for data workflow management.
- Model data efficiently to enhance data usability and accessibility.
- Support AI-driven use cases across the organization.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Snowflake and dbt technologies.
- Advanced SQL skills with a focus on data manipulation and retrieval.
- Experience working with Airflow and/or Fivetran for data orchestration.
- Proven capability in data modeling for scalable solutions.
- Experience building ELT pipelines for data processing.
- Ability to engage directly with business stakeholders to refine requirements.
- Experience owning end-to-end data solutions from design to implementation.
