Overview
We are seeking four Senior Data Engineer contractors for an immediate start, with a maximum duration of one week. The role involves working in a hybrid capacity and requires candidates to be based in the UK. The primary focus will be on developing and supporting complex ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure tools while advising internal teams on technical strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support complex ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
- Implement data solutions utilizing Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines.
- Migrate on-premise SQL solutions to Azure SQL Database.
- Tweak and enhance performance through advanced SQL and T-SQL practices.
- Provide ownership and oversight from design to production support.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to advise on technical approaches.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Proven ability to build and support complex ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and T-SQL, including stored procedures and query performance tuning.
- Experience with Azure SQL Database and migration processes.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and data modelling principles.
- Previous experience in taking ownership of data solutions from design through to deployment.
