Overview
The Senior Data Scientist / Principal Consultant will play a key role in delivering a production machine learning platform focused on pricing and valuation models. Collaborating with an established Data Science team, the contractor will take an existing project to production and will be responsible for deploying models into AWS. This position is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to customer sites in the Midlands.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a production machine learning platform.
- Collaborate with a Data Science team to refine and deploy models.
- Utilize AWS for model deployment and scaling.
- Engage in technical consultancy to guide project direction.
- Implement regression and pricing models using Python.
- Leverage AutoML tools for efficient model development.
- Enhance data engineering processes to support analytics.
- Ensure best practices in MLOps are followed throughout the project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering production machine learning solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming for data science applications.
- Experience with AutoML, preferably AutoGluon.
- Familiarity with regression and pricing model development.
- Practical expertise in deploying machine learning models in AWS.
- Background in data engineering and MLOps methodologies.
- Ability to provide technical consultancy and leadership on projects.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites as needed.
