Overview
The Senior Delivery Manager will play a vital role in leading the delivery of data, analytics, and automation initiatives within a large UK enterprise. This position involves overseeing agile delivery teams and managing substantial budgets while collaborating with cross-functional departments to drive a business-wide transformation program. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching teams, building stakeholder relationships, and engaging at the executive level to ensure successful implementation of data-driven projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of data, analytics, and automation products.
- Manage and mentor a team of 3-5 Scrum Masters and Delivery Analysts.
- Oversee multi-million-pound delivery budgets, including forecasting and cost optimization.
- Set departmental objectives and performance metrics in alignment with the Digital/Data strategy.
- Facilitate engagement with executive stakeholders regarding data and automation initiatives.
- Drive the transition to persistent product teams and optimize delivery methodologies.
- Ensure effective project-level prioritization and escalation across teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in agile delivery management, particularly in data or automation environments.
- Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies with coaching capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at the board level.
- Solid experience in budget and vendor management.
- Certification in Agile/Scrum is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies (e.g., Azure, Databricks) is advantageous.
- Experience in regulated industries and knowledge of data governance is beneficial.
