Overview
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to contribute to a significant cloud transformation project on a contract basis. In this remote position, you will take charge of delivering Infrastructure as Code and implementing a secure Azure landing zone while working closely with engineering and security teams. Your leadership will guide the technical direction and foster collaboration with senior stakeholders to create a modern cloud-native environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Build and implement a secure Azure Landing Zone.
- Design and deploy Azure networking including hub-and-spoke architecture, NSGs, routing, private DNS, Key Vault and Entra ID/RBAC.
- Define and maintain Terraform module and repository standards.
- Drive technical discussions, low-level design (LLD) and infrastructure best practices.
- Prioritise technical backlogs and collaborate with engineering teams to achieve key milestones.
- Build Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure as Code.
- Mentor engineers and promote DevOps principles across the team.
Requirements
- Extensive commercial experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer.
- Strong Microsoft Azure infrastructure experience.
- Expert knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience designing Azure Landing Zones.
- Understanding of Azure networking and security components.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- CI/CD pipeline development and Git version control skills.
- Strong understanding of cloud security and infrastructure architecture.
