Overview
We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join a leading payments company, engaging in the design and development of a high-throughput payments platform. In this hybrid role, you will work part-time in the office while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to enhance platform architecture and implement coding best practices. The position involves mentoring other developers and driving decisions in a fast-paced fintech environment, focusing on scalable, cloud-native solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of high-performance .NET services powering the payments platform.
- Build and scale event-driven microservices within the Azure environment.
- Drive best practices across architecture, coding standards, observability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product teams to design API-driven payment and partner integrations.
- Mentor and support engineers across the team while contributing hands-on to critical systems.
- Help evolve a scalable, distributed architecture capable of handling high transaction volumes.
- Contribute to improving engineering velocity, delivery quality, and platform resilience.
Requirements
- Strong experience building production systems with .NET / C#.
- Experience developing cloud-native systems in Azure.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Service Bus, Event Grid).
- Experience with Azure Cosmos DB.
- Proven track record in building distributed systems and scalable APIs.
- Experience working on payments platforms or high-throughput transactional systems.
- Strong understanding of system design principles, reliability, and performance at scale.
- Ability to lead technically while remaining hands-on in development.
