Overview
We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to support our Healthcare client's Financial Recovery Programme Management Office. This role involves collaborating with Project Delivery Managers, Finance Business Partners, and clinical and operational teams to enhance financial oversight and decision-making. The analyst will be crucial in delivering the organisation’s Financial Recovery Plan and ensuring effective financial management across recovery initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Financial Tracker for all schemes within the Financial Recovery Programme, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of progress.
- Produce weekly and monthly financial performance reports, dashboards, and Board-level reporting packs.
- Maintain and update the Project Milestones & Delivery Tracker and ensure alignment with programme timelines.
- Analyse financial performance data to identify areas of overspend, cost drivers, and opportunities for efficiency.
- Provide finance analysis and advisory support to Project Delivery Managers, acting as a critical friend to clinical and operational teams.
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and PMO colleagues to ensure recovery schemes are fully costed and deliverable.
- Support the creation of business cases, forecasts, performance narratives, and PMO assurance documentation.
Requirements
- Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA / ACCA / CIMA) plus relevant Degree.
- Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data.
- Experience within healthcare settings, ideally within the NHS.
- Prior involvement in financial recovery programmes, cost reduction or PMO reporting is highly advantageous.
- Ability to advise senior stakeholders and challenge constructively.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; Power BI experience is desirable.
