Overview
The Senior Finance Manager will work part-time, three days a week, providing essential support to the Finance Leadership Team in a leading private transport business. This hands-on, senior-level role focuses on enhancing financial processes, assisting with day-to-day financial operations, and improving reporting efficiency to ensure business continuity and operational excellence. The contractor will leverage their expertise in financial reporting and analysis to document and streamline procedures, potentially extending beyond the initial three-month term based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day financial activities, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Develop and implement process improvements for financial reporting.
- Document existing finance processes and create improved training manuals.
- Collaborate with the Finance Leadership Team to drive efficiency in workflows.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Engage with stakeholders to streamline reporting and documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to improve financial processes and drive efficiency.
- Strong understanding of finance systems and workflows.
- Experience with Business Central or MS Dynamics is desirable.
- Ability to quickly grasp existing processes and document improvements.
- Prior experience in a senior finance role, preferably in an interim capacity.
