Overview
The Senior Front End Engineer will join a dynamic technology team focused on developing and scaling digital products for a thriving brand in the USA. This role is pivotal in enhancing customer-facing applications by utilizing modern web technologies and collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers. Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy and optimise frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Develop reusable UI components and shared libraries to enhance code efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer value is delivered.
- Integrate REST APIs and backend services seamlessly into frontend applications.
- Ensure code quality by writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Optimise application performance, accessibility and alignment with Core Web Vitals.
- Participate actively in technical discussions, code reviews, and design sessions.
- Support production systems with monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Significant commercial experience building modern frontend applications.
- Expert proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
- Strong experience with React ecosystem libraries like Redux Toolkit or similar.
- Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development.
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-hosted frontend deployments.
- Strong understanding of Agile software delivery methodologies.
- Ability to quickly understand existing codebases and contribute with minimal onboarding.
