Overview
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join a leading investment banking project, focusing on the development of a next-generation single-page application for derivatives trading. This is a high-profile contract role where you will collaborate with top engineers to shape a cutting-edge web platform, contributing to the financial technology landscape. You will engage in a modern, agile development environment with flexible working arrangements, requiring only one day per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to develop a single-page application for high-performance derivatives trading.
- Build high-performance UIs that include real-time data updates using modern web technologies.
- Contribute to front-end architecture focused on resilience, performance, and user experience.
- Utilize functional programming paradigms and enhance workflows using LLMs and agent-mode AI tools.
- Ensure high standards of UI/UX detail in product development.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, ES6, HTML5, and advanced CSS.
- Proven track record in delivering performance-critical SPAs in high-frequency environments.
- Proficiency in functional and reactive programming, especially using immutable data structures.
- Attention to detail in UI/UX design, with a focus on intuitive and stylish products.
- Experience with collaborative development in high-performance teams.
- Familiarity with LLMs and AI tools to optimize development processes.
- Desirable: Experience with RxJS, Angular + NgRx, or React + Redux is a plus.
- Desirable: Full-stack experience with a typed backend language such as Java, C#, or F#.
