Overview
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join an innovative AI startup focused on building agentic AI systems. In this fully remote contract role, you will work directly with the founder to finalize and enhance the frontend and middleware layers of a cutting-edge platform. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-trust environment and play a key role in taking the product to production readiness.
Responsibilities
- Finalise React-based frontend for performance and accessibility
- Enhance Node.js middleware with robust API structure
- Refine Auth0 integration for secure role-based access
- Optimise Redis for state caching and latency reduction
- Strengthen MongoDB read/write patterns in coordination with caching layers
- Conduct rigorous testing across frontend and middleware components
- Collaborate closely with the founder on product development
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering production React frontends and Node.js middleware
- Skilled in scalable, secure API and frontend architecture
- Strong testing, caching, and performance profiling capabilities
- Outcome-focused, practical, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working closely with a technical founder in a fast-paced startup environment
