Overview
We are seeking a Senior Front-End Developer to join a prestigious investment banking team on a contract basis. In this role, you will contribute to the development of a high-performance, next-generation single-page application (SPA) for derivatives trading, collaborating with elite engineers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will design and build resilient user interfaces that leverage real-time data, while only being required to work on-site one day a week in London.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to develop and enhance a SPA for derivatives trading.
- Build high-performance user interfaces with real-time data capabilities.
- Design front-end architecture focused on resilience, performance, and usability.
- Utilize modern web technologies in an agile development environment.
- Implement functional and reactive programming paradigms.
- Ensure UI/UX design standards are met for intuitive product delivery.
- Use LLMs and AI tools to improve the development workflow.
Requirements
- Strong experience with TypeScript, ES6, HTML5, and advanced CSS.
- Proven track record of delivering performance-critical SPAs in trading or high-frequency environments.
- Proficiency in functional and reactive programming using immutable data.
- Excellent attention to UI/UX detail with a passion for building intuitive products.
- Ability to work effectively in high-performance collaborative teams.
- Familiarity with LLMs and agent-mode AI tools for development enhancement.
- RxJS experience is a plus, as well as knowledge of Angular + NgRx or React + Redux.
- Full stack experience with a typed backend language such as Java, C#, or F# is advantageous.
