Overview
The Senior Full Stack Engineer Contractor will play a key role in the development and maintenance of comprehensive full-stack solutions for a fast-growing eCommerce platform. This position involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimize both front-end and back-end systems while maintaining high engineering standards. The contractor will have significant ownership of features and contribute to the evolving technology landscape of the company.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack solutions across UI, APIs, and backend systems.
- Translate product requirements, designs, and wireframes into scalable, production-ready systems.
- Build responsive, high-performance user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Design and develop scalable services and APIs within monolith and microservices architecture.
- Write and maintain automated tests to ensure quality and reliability of the code.
- Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers to enhance team capabilities.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong full stack engineering experience, owning end-to-end delivery.
- Proven backend expertise in PHP (Laravel).
- Strong JavaScript (ES6+) skills with modern frameworks (React/Vue/Angular).
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and scalable systems.
- Experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Couchbase, MongoDB).
- Strong understanding of system architecture and microservices.
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with event-driven systems and cloud environments (GCP).
