Overview
The Senior Information Technology Support Engineer will serve as a technical expert for complex IT issues in a large and established organization. This role involves providing advanced 2nd and 3rd line support for hardware, software, and networking, while ensuring the security and stability of the IT infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with the helpdesk team and lead initiatives for root cause analysis and permanent resolutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for IT infrastructure issues.
- Administer and manage servers, virtual environments, and core infrastructure.
- Oversee the management of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for IT issues.
- Collaborate with the helpdesk team on day-to-day support activities.
- Support Microsoft 365 and related technologies, with a preference for Azure experience.
- Enhance system security and compliance as needed.
- Document all technical procedures and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior IT Support Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of server administration and virtual environments.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP management.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Exchange, SCCM, and Microsoft 365.
- Knowledge of security and compliance best practices is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid remote environment.
- Certifications in relevant technologies are preferred.
